Meet the Trainers
Dee Butler is an experienced, versatile fitness trainer and coach. She has worked with clients of all ages and abilities including teens, US Navy sailors, and senior citizens. An experienced athlete herself, Dee has completed numerous half marathons, two full marathons, one 50K Ultra Marathon, and one 50-mile run. She is dedicated to bringing her full range of experience and expertise to every client interaction.
Dee’s fitness coaching experience began while she was on active duty in the US Navy. Serving as the Command Fitness Leader for 14 of her 22-years in the military, she provided US Navy sailors with the guidance, education, and motivation required to keep their bodies in peak physical health and conditioning to meet the strenuous demands of the US Navy. After retiring from the Navy in 2013, she privately coached clients for 3 years before receiving her Certification through World Instructor Training School (WITS). Dee also holds a certification in Lifestyle Fitness Coaching through WITS and a Senior Fitness Specialist certificate through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
Dee was also a Wellness Coach with the YMCA. During her tenure, she conducted member fitness assessments, provided instruction on how to effectively use the fitness equipment, and guided members through proper form and technique when exercising.
With her combination of formal fitness education, practical training expertise, and personal experience, Dee brings a unique perspective to her fitness coaching. She works with clients of all ages and abilities developing a training plan specific to each client’s individual needs and capabilities. Whether wanting to increase flexibility as they age or train for a particular event, Dee is committed to ensuring her clients meet all their fitness goals.
Wes Butler retired from the Navy after 25 years of service. He is a certified ACE Personal Trainer and RRCA running coach. During his time in the Navy, he worked in Naval Special Warfare as a Special Warfare Combatant Crewman (SWCC). During this time, Wes was a certified Command Fitness leader developing physical training plans and leading Naval Special Warfare Operators through daily dynamic physical training. Wes has run distances from 5ks to Marathons and participated in numerous adventure and obstacle races as well.
Over the years Wes has developed an understanding and love for physical training. The truest form of holistic medication that works with physical and mental health. When at a loss or during a challenging time, just go for a run.
Wes is a firm believer in functional training. He will develop reasonable and actionable training plans based on the clients’ abilities and goals.
